CADopia 6 Released
CADopia 6 Professional Edition allows you to EXPORT your drawing views as Adobe Acrobat PDF files Invented by Adobe, Portable Document Format (PDF) is widely used by enterprises, educators, and governments around the world for secure, reliable electronic document distribution and exchange. Reduce your reliance on paper drawings with Adobe Acrobat. Preserve the look and integrity of your original documents Adobe PDF files look exactly like original documents and preserve the fonts, images, graphics, and layout of any source file - regardless of the application and platform used to create it. Share documents with anyone Adobe PDF documents can be shared, viewed, and printed by anyone, on any system, using free Adobe Reader® software - regardless of the operating system, original application, or fonts.
New! Sweep and loft solids Typically lofted solids use multiple profiles and multiple guide curves. You can use the loft command to create very complex solids such as the body of an airplane or the surface of a yacht. CADopia 6 supports general sweeping along a general curve for creating complex solids that cannot easily be created using other techniques. For example, you can now create a true solid model of a helical spring in CADopia Professional Edition.
New! Export drawings to DWF and SVG Files Many users prefer to collaborate and share their work using the Internet. They can share their drawings with their peers using either DWF or SVG format files. Now, you can export files in both SVG and DWF formats directly from CADopia 6 and your colleagues can open them using their Internet Browser, without the requirement to have a CAD software installed on the system. ENHANCED Raster Image Support Now you can View ESRI (SHP) files and Bentley Microstation (DGN) files as raster images inside CADopia 6. No need to have ESRI and Microstation installed on your computer. Click here for a complete list of other supported raster and vector formats.
Enhanced print style tables The following printing features have greatly enhanced flexibility and control over the printing process:
New! Xref Manager Attaching and working with external references is now easier with the new Xref Manager. You can view a detailed list of the referenced drawing, or you can view a hierarchical display that shows how drawings are nested and related to one another. Quickly attach, detach, reload, bind, open, and change the path for all external references in the current drawing. The Xref Manager allows you to use the same external reference features as in previous versions of CADopia, but in a more efficient manner.
Enhanced Entity Snaps The existing Intersection Snap has a new Extended option, which snaps to the logical location where two entities would intersect if they were of infinite length. The new Apparent Intersection Snap tool snaps to the intersection of two entities that are not in the same plane but seem to intersect in the current view. You can also use its Extended option, which snaps to the logical location where two entities would intersect if they were of infinite length.
Navigate model space and paper space Use the enhanced Model/Paper Space control in the status bar to switch more efficiently between model space and paper space on either the Model tab or a Layout tab. You can also change the display of the Model and Layout tabs in the following ways:
Work in the command bar You can do the following in the command bar:
Choose single CADopia sessions Use the new Single Session command (type singleton) to choose whether CADopia can be started one time or multiple times simultaneously. Performance enhancements CADopia 6 includes major performance enhancements in the following areas:
CADopia 6 uses the latest FlexLM Network License Manager, allowing you to optimize the use of CADopia licenses at your site by sharing licenses transparently between different users on a network (optional, floating network licenses available with all editions). General improvements Many other functionality improvements have been made in CADopia 6 based on the feedback we receive from our customers. |
